About Myeonglore

Myeonglore is a free web service that builds your Saju (Four Pillars, 四柱八字) chart from your birth date and time and shows a basic reading: the Ten Gods, luck cycles and yearly cycles. It is available in 18 languages and works in your browser without an account.

What it offers

• Four Pillars reading: the four pillars, Ten Gods, hidden stems, the twelve stages, strength of the Day Master, candidates for the useful element, symbolic stars and the luck cycles, on one screen.
• Compatibility: puts two charts side by side and looks at how they relate.
• Perpetual calendar: the stem-branch pair, solar term and lunar date for any day.
• Guide: explains the terms and rules used in the calculation. Look here for any term you have not met before.

How it calculates

The moments when solar terms change are precomputed astronomically, to the minute, for 1900–2100. Lunar-calendar input follows the official lunar calendar of the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI). Historical standard time and daylight-saving rules for your birthplace come from the time-zone database. The Zi-hour convention and the true-solar-time adjustment are options, and the rules that were applied are always printed under the result as "Calculation basis". The guide explains each term and rule in detail.

What happens to what you enter

Entry and calculation happen only in your browser, and your birth date is not stored on a server. The Service does not create accounts or ask for your name, phone number or address. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How we run it

• Saju is a traditional East Asian interpretation, not a scientific prediction. Readings are for entertainment and reference; please do not base important decisions such as marriage, hiring, investment or medical care on them. We do not make "accuracy rate" claims.
• If you find an error in a result, tell us. We check the input and the calculation basis, and correct the rules when the report is right.
• Google AdSense ads are shown on some guide pages to cover running costs. Ads do not change the content of a reading. How ads and cookies are handled is explained in the Privacy Policy.
